Medicine Grand Rounds 12/13/2024: “Updates in Inpatient Medicine” Lujia Zhang and “High yield topics in the care of a patient with substance use disorder” Maria Robles, MD

Dr. Zhang is an academic hospitalist with board certification in internal medicine and pediatrics. He joined as faculty at Indiana University and Eskenazi Medical Group in 2019 after completing Medicine-Pediatrics residency at IU and serving as chief resident. His interests include medical education and bioinformatics. In 2021, he became a certified Epic Physician Builder and works on the clinical informatics team at Eskenazi Hospital to develop physician driven order sets and clinical decision support for inpatient teams. In 2022, he became Key Clinical Educator for the Department of Internal Medicine, helping to foster resident and medical student education at the school of medicine.

Dr. Robles is an IU School of Medicine grad who completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Brown University. She has worked at Eskenazi providing primary care for the past 13 years. She started treating people with substance use disorder in 2017 and earned her board certification in Addiction Medicine. She has published two papers on integrating substance use disorder treatment within primary care. She developed an outpatient SUD Internal Medicine rotation. She also co-founded an Inpatient Addiction Medicine Consult service at Eskenazi.
